The View Aviemore

We looked for a breakfast spot and this originally did not come up on our search but when walking past we decided to take a look. Really beautiful views when sat in for food and we had a really tasty breakfast. As a vegetarian I find it limiting to eat out often but I was torn between the veggie breakfast and the eggs. I went for the breakfast with veggie haggis and sausages and it was so good! My partner had Rosti eggs with ham which looked and went down just as well. Perks is this is above a wonderful outdoor shop which we also enjoyed.

The atmosphere, view, and staff were great. The portions for both meals were also great and the burger was enjoyable. Sadly, the steak was too chewy to eat, which was a shame because the rest of the sandwich particularly the caramelised onions were fab!

Updated Aug2025 - thought I’d update 6 months on as this place has only got better. Still our favourite cafe stop. Having the guest roaster keeps it fresh, every month is a new flavour and something so unique. The new small touches each time you visit , the ever improving menu, unreal bakes and cakes, the cosy/inviting atmosphere. These guys really have it all and it’s exciting to watch them grow. Highly recommended by us and our friends/fam from near and far that also travel for a visit , solid 10/10.

We are holidaying in Aviemore and we’ve had a wonderful breakfast and experience at The View! Staff are so professional and lovely, quick service and a beautiful atmosphere. I would recommend John the waiter to everyone looking for outstanding service, he really made our morning. Thankyou!!

We had breakfast here 3 times during our stay in Aviemore and it was really great food and brilliant service every time. Friendly staff and well priced. They could vary the cake selection a little bit more but would highly recommend for good food and service.

What a gem of a place to find in Aviemore. Situated above Cairngorm Mountain Sports shop, this place has everything. Great food, great staff, great service and great views. Dog friendly too. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a ten minute wait for a table and sure enough-ten minutes later we were seated. The menu sounds delicious and the food lives up to all expectations. From the stunning Smashed Burgers to the PROPER Steak Sandwich, the food is incredible and the portions don't disappoint either. The Seasoned fries were awesome-so tasty. We even took two delicious baked on the premises Scones back with us because we were too full to have them after the meal. All this with stunning service and incredible views of the mountains. You would expect to pay a high price for all this but couldn't believe how cheap. SIMPLY AWESOME.

Called for a cuppa and cake. Great choice of cakes. Friendly service. Seated immediately on the balcony. Would recommend

Absolutely love this place, the food was incredible. I had avacado on toast with double poached eggs. I can't explain what they add to the avacado but it just not the same when I try to make it at home. The staff were polite and friendly. Can't wait to return just wish it wasn't a 6 hour drive away.
